Trick or Treaters, check out this list of tips for a fun and safe Hallowe'en!
Choose a safe costume, without any billowing fabric to trip on
Make sure any costume accessories are made of a safe and flexible material
Give children flashlights or glowsticks to increase visibility in the dark
Collect treats from one side of the street, and then the other, to minimize street crossings
Stay in well-lit areas, and trick or treat at houses with their outdoor lights turned on
Dispensing goodies at home? Clear your walkway of tripping hazards so trick or treaters can come up to the door safely
One final tip: start your evening by dropping by the Barn and Bunkie for a festive picture with your costumes in front of their autumn photo backdrop!
