Turtle Walk 2019
2019 is the year of the Tartan Turtle!
The Fenelon Falls Turtle Walk is happening on June 15th this year. The Turtle Walk is a family friendly event that coincides with the Strawberry Moon, which is the most active time for turtle nesting, and when many turtles are near roads.
Turtle Walks are held to raise awareness and help protect the turtles as much as possible. The fundraiser also supports the Turtle Guardians T5 Campaign, which strives to protect Turtles using Teaching, Tracking, Tunnels, and Trauma Care in cooperation with the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre in Peterborough.
Bring the kids to this easy 2 km walk to see live turtles and to enjoy face painting, and crafts. Prizes are available for the best costumes, turtle awareness signs, and for answering skill-testing questions during the walk.
