There is a very important consultation next Thursday, May 23 4:30 to 6:30pm at the Fenelon Falls Community Centre. It concerns the reconstruction of Colborne St from Bond to Water Streets, and will have significant implications. The proposed plans will be presented, questions answered and input collected.
The City of Kawartha Lakes, through their consultant Ainley Graham & Associates Limited (Ainley Group) is undertaking the detailed design for the reconstruction of Colborne Street in the Village of Fenelon Falls. The project involves full road reconstruction including watermain, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer replacement, new curb and gutter and streetscape improvements.
The project is being carried out as Schedule ‘A+’ in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) process. Schedule A + activities are pre-approved meaning they are limited in scale and have minimal adverse environmental effects. Schedule A+ activities are not subject to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks appeal process; however, comments will be received by the City.
The 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM time period is set aside for stakeholders to discuss the project in advance of the general public’s attendance. If you are unable to attend the public session, you are welcome to attend the earlier session from 2:30 to 3:30 at the same location.
