Featured Event - Santa is Coming to Town!

Guess what? Santa is coming to town for one last weekend! Bring your own camera and get a free photo with Santa. Last week Santa took photos with 40 kids, 10 dogs, and 20 lucky adults.

Santa will be visiting Fenelon Falls on Saturday, December 15th, from 10 am to 12 pm and 12:30 pm to 4 pm both dates. You’ll find him at Slices N Scoops, which is located at 10 Water Street. Donations are welcome and are being accepted in the form of a new toy for children helped through Women's Resources. Santa hopes to see you soon!

Congratulations to Tracey Evans, Shopping Spree Winner!

The Sunsational Sidewalk Sale last weekend was a great success, with shoppers crawling all over Fenelon for the hot deals.

To mark the event, the Events Committee very generously collected a package of gift certificates from participating stores and raffled off the grand prize of a $250 Shopping Spree.

The winner, Bobcaygeon resident Tracey Evans, was delighted with the prize. Tracey says that she is "so grateful for the shopping spree in Fenelon Falls! It was a lovely afternoon with my daughter Olivia. We shopped throughout the local stores and appreciated breathing in the fresh air from the shores of your local lakes; Cameron and Sturgeon. We enjoyed the Splash Pad and sipped mint milkshakes and cherry yogurts throughout the afternoon. I have been battling cancer recently, and the afternoon out on the town was a perfect way for Olivia and I to spend the day together. Thank you Fenelon Falls, and thank you to the Chamber of Commerce Events Committee for organizing the sale."

We are so glad to have such a warm and welcoming community that allows people to relax and reconnect. We look forward to seeing Tracey and Olivia again when they come back for their shopping spree, and wish Tracey all the best.

If you have ever spent some time, under the shade of the Maple tree, watching the boats at Lock 34 you may have had the pleasure of visiting with “Grandma Eileen”.

At least 4 days a week she can be found, on the bench, enjoying a famous Country Cupboard frozen yogurt or a Slices ‘n Scoops Kawartha Dairy cone. She is a wonderful advocate of Fenelon Falls; full of suggestions on where to eat, shop, and play.

During the visit, she will proudly share with you, “That’s my granddaughter working at the locks. She gets her height from me”, then she’ll giggle away. Eileen’s granddaughter is headed off to Guelph University in the fall and Grandma Eileen just wants to “see her as much as she can before she leaves”.

The lock employees have gotten so used to Grandma Eileen’s presence, that if she hasn’t been able to make it into town for a shift or two they inquire about her health and well being.
