The Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club announces The Grand Raffle

The Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club (FFSC) is thrilled to launch a Grand Raffle as part of the Coming Together for All Fundraising Program, a significant fundraiser for the not-for-profit organization that owns, operates and has the responsibility of maintaining the iconic building at 58 Murray St. Drop by for your raffle tickets at the FFSC booth at the Country Living Show at Fenelon Falls Community Centre from April 22 – 24. Tickets are also on sale at the Club, through club members and partners. Anyone interested in purchasing or selling tickets are encouraged to call or text Cheryl at 705-957-9772.

Family Day Chili Contest

The Brewery had a special event for family day. It included a 6 pack of Fenelon Brewery beer and 4 containers with chili marked only A,B,C, D. Four local restaurants were competing in the chili taste competition. Here we see Ava Bergeron and her friends, Emma, Karina and Gabrielle with their chili grading sheet. We know what their favourites were but we haven’t seen the final published results. Who had the most votes for best chili? The Cow & Sow? Ziraldos? The Lotus Bistro? Or The Locker? We need to know!!! Results will be announced Friday February 25.

Every couple of months the Chamber Board of Directors plan an event to bring Chamber Members together. Over the last year, these events have been difficult to plan, especially because they revolve around being social and engaging with others. Last night the Chamber hosted an event over zoom with cocktail creations, a guided dinner with James Mahoney, Chef at The Cow and Sow, and ended with Trivia by Russell from the Fenelon Falls Brewery. It was a great success!

Volunteer Effort Brightens up the Fenelon Bridge

Many spots in town - including the bridge over the falls - got a little brighter this past week after a huge collective effort from local volunteers worked to install and plant beautiful flower boxes and baskets around town. Spearheaded by Julia Taylor and Marylee Boston on behalf of the Fenelon Falls and District Chamber of Commerce, the mission to beautify our community spaces relies on the volunteer efforts of a huge group of people. Julia and Marylee would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who pitched in to make this project come together this summer.
